Yakuza Kiwami 3 will be the last one of the Kiwami line of games, this was announced officially by the studio itself, which means that it is actually true. This will open up a space for a new series, but we really don’t know what to expect with this. Some believe the truth is hidden behind the ending of Yakuza Kiwami 3, but until the game does not release we will never really know about that. Hopefully the project they are building is something fresh that can get more people into the Yakuza series, maybe it will not be as ridiculous but, it is still a Ryu Ga Gotoku game after all.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is the final one
This might be disappointing for fans who have been waiting for more remakes, because there’s still a ton of Yakuza games that didn’t even leave Japan and need some sort of touch up to become playable for Western audiences. There is a PS3 exclusive prequel set in ancient Japan that seems to be translated by fans but the progress is rather slow for now. We still aren’t sure when will a release for that translation patch even happen, but considering Yakuza Kenzan exists there’s a ton of possibilities for the series future.
We could go to the past again, we could also go to the future, it would be quite crazy to see a Yakuza adventure happening in outer space and it would even make sense with how ludicrous these games can get. Everyone is eagerly awaiting for some new announcement regarding the series, and they are also waiting for the release of Yakuza Kiwami 3. While Yakuza Kiwami 3 might be a very divisive title when it comes to the plot, fans still crave some unhinged fun, and maybe you should also buy it if you desire to do so.
