Darkhaven is a new PC game for those who are fans of ARPGs and other games like Diablo. A new trailer has surfaced, revealing some gameplay and general things about the game, and this is all made by an indie team, seemingly being the first game they made. If you are into games like Path of Exile or even Diablo itself, this is the future of ARPGs, a future that Blizzard does not control anymore due to their terrible decisions. There’s still no proper date for when this game will come out but they said that this will first drop as an early access title with a Kickstarter campaign.
Darkhaven is coming
Perhaps in 2026 we will know more about this mysterious game that promises to revolutionize the ARPG market that has grown stale by producing the games over and over, and now that Diablo is dead there’s a chance to resurrect what the game once was. For new generations that don’t get it, Diablo is an amazing ARPG game that revolutionized PC gaming back in the 90s, to this day you can feel the influence of it in many games. If you play Path of Exile, you are playing Diablo, and there’s a ton of other games that learnt from it.
Darkhaven is yet another game that learned from the legacy Diablo left after Diablo 2, and hopefully it manages to adapt the best aspects of both of those games, we are going to get online multiplayer along with a single player campaign. A cool feature that the developers behind this game could implement is allowing people to create their own servers for when the game inevitable dies in the future. This would be in accordance to the Stop Killing Games movement and it would make the game even more popular. Wishlist Darkhaven if you are interested in this dying genre.
