Battlefield 6 has been a triumphant release in this year which managed to not only outgun it’s rival Activision’s juggernaut Call of Duty franchise significantly, it’s also showing no signs of slowing down as the recently revealed roadmap for EA’s flagship shooter highlights exciting changes and new contents that will make you come back for more all throughout next year.
Starting off, there will be new maps and additional changes for the multiplayer in Battlefield 6 plus the possibility of a new Solo mode for Battlefield REDSEC as well along with many more exciting content drops that’s designed to increase the playability even further.
In a new ‘Battlefield 6 – Community Update – Holiday Wrap-Up’ blog post, EA and Battlefield Labs have outlined the complete roadmap for the first person shooter for next year besides also sharing some phenomenal stats which clearly prove that Battlefield 6 has been the go-to multiplayer FPS experience of this year. - Played over 1.7 billion matches and logged 383.5 million gameplay hours.
- Delivered 12.4 billion kills and 871 million revives.
- Destroyed 102 million helicopters and jets.
The Battle rages hard and long in EA’s premier first person shooter experience and to top it all off, there’s a lot more to come that’s sure to drive those numbers even further beyond. For example, the devs will be “refining core gameplay, balance, and quality-of-life improvements across Multiplayer, REDSEC, and Portal,” there will also be an assortment of new maps and all of which will “introduce fresh tactical opportunities and keep the experience evolving in meaningful ways.”
The Battle Royale mode will also likely get a solo mode at some point in next year: “We are working through the technical details to deliver it at a quality level that feels right for Battlefield. Once we are confident in the plan and timing, we will share more.”
