A massive 2.4 million cheat attempts have been successfully prohibited by EA’s Javelin anti-cheat system in Battlefield 6 since the game came out on October 10, the devs have recently declared. EA has also claimed that in the week after Battlefield 6’s launch, a total of 98% of multiplayer matches have been completely ‘fair and free of cheater impacts’ which is a mighty impressive feat for any multiplayer title out there.
The staggering numbers suggest that EA has not only been successful at delivering one of the best titles in the Battlefield series but also managed to keep the overall multiplayer experience fair and square in all regards.
And according to the devs as they wrote in a recent blog post on Twitter/X, the Javelin anti-cheat system has several upcoming steps ahead which will enable minimize further cheat attempts in Battlefield 6 down the road. The team has also provided a rundown of the amount of cheat attempts so far which are pretty substantial:
“We are presently aware of, and have multiple detections for, 190 cheat related programs, hardware, vendors, and resellers and their communities. Since launch 183 of them (96.3%) have announced feature failures, detection notices, downtime, and/or taken their cheats offline entirely. While there are still clips circulating of cheaters claiming to be undetected, it’s far more likely than not that when you see gameplay of someone claiming to cheat undetected, they are already banned or have a hammer incoming.”
Battlefield 6 has been a triumphant return for the iconic franchise so far and has been the highest selling title of this year in both Xbox and the PC platform and the second best-selling game on Playstation, behind NBA 2K26. EA’s flagship shooter has also become the best-selling title in the U.S in the month of October, while also being the highest selling game in the history of the long running series in the U.S as well. And EA staying vigilant and making sure all players have a fair and cheating-free gameplay experience helps in the continued success of Battlefield 6 in the long term as well.
