Ubisoft has just revealed all the upcoming contents headed to Assassin’s Creed Shadows during fall 2025 which includes advanced parkour mechanics, whole new in-game activities and more. Check out the full announcement below:
The total number of bonus contents for Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be rolled out in two phases with Update 10 releasing on October 28 which brings Advanced parkour gameplay plus a brand new Animus activity named Corrupted Castles. The Advanced parkour mechanics will add a whole new depth and flair to the game’s parkour including side and back ejects from any height, revamped movement control such as consistent vertical ledge grabs, manual jump between beams, directional ledge grabs during falls and more.
It’s safe to say that if you’ve been disappointed by the parkour in the base game, you’ll love the upcoming update which will definitely add a lot more luster in Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ parkour mechanics.
Update 11 is scheduled to arrive on November 25 and will contain the second batch of new contents part of the fall roadmap including a free new story quest named ‘A Puzzlement’ which will enable both Naoe and Yasuke to learn each other’s skills such as Naoe gaining her own version of Yasuke’s devastating war kick and Yasuke learning Naoe’s non-lethal stealth takedown. The new quest is also inspired by Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and involves several characters from Naoe’s past seeking redemption.
This update will also bring a complex, lore-rich puzzle section that will tie into several long-standing mysteries in the Assassin’s Creed community which means solving this puzzle could unlock several unanswered questions players might have from some of the past games in the series. A surprise crossover event is also teased plus seasonal rewards and other free items that will be available during the holiday period in the game.
It’s also confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch for the Switch 2 on December 2 with full cross-progression support and unique touchscreen features.
