Xbox CEO teases Elder Scrolls 6 as layoff protests mount

Elder Scrolls 6

Xbox CEO, Asha Sharma, went to Bethesda studios to gush about The Elder Scrolls 6, however she didn’t seem to pay mind to any of the protests, even if they have a giant rat prop in the lawn. This is proof of how detached from reality CEOs are, and how little they care about the conditions of us workers. Alas, that’s how the industry seems to go, if more people decided to just stop working and don’t go back even if the bonuses become better, this whole system would be collapsing in itself. We don’t really need the companies after all, they need us people to even exist.

Elder Scrolls 6 might flop

Considering all of the cuts that have been happening lately, even for legacy studios like id Software, it is crazy to think any of this will actually be good. I want to believe the developers, and all of the people who are passionate about the things they do, alas as we can see corporate power just corrupts everything we know and love. Hopefully all of this will change, these studios should abandon the places they work at to unify and become indie developers, more people would buy their games that way.

Elder Scrolls 6 has zero chances of being good, in fact, I would argue that there has never really been a “good” Elder Scrolls game for a long while, so we can expect yet another bug ridden mess. If all of these developers went independent, then we could see their true potential without being squandered by Xbox or Microsoft. Job security in the gaming industry is a very frail, almost non existent thing, and people need to unionize to keep some protections going for them. Even with that, we have seen companies like Rockstar Games doing union busting and facing no consequences.
