House of Necrosis is out, and if you ever wanted some sort of horror in your Mystery Dungeon genre, this is the game for you. PC gamers are always blessed with some amazing indie gems, and this one is really one to look forward to, as it is quite the very interesting mix of games. Resident Evil meets Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon and it does feel like a match made in heaven, so if you are a fan of the PS1 era this is your moment of truth and you shouldn’t let the 10% discount pass.
House of Necrosis has a successful release
This game is rather unique despite looking quite inspired by Resident Evil in map design, if you ignore the appearance, which was done intentionally of course, this is a must try. The style is on point, and it really fits the era of something that would have released back then and made the rounds across multiple stores and households. The love put by indie developers into projects like this is astounding and Warkus has been working on other small projects on their personal Itch.io, you should check them out, they are quite interesting.
Indie developers with this level of appreciation for the old should be rewarded with notoriety and recognition, and I take it upon myself on trying to bring House of Necrosis into more eyes if possible. This is one of their big projects, and it needs to be successful to ensure Warkus can keep operating in the future, making more games that make us reminisce of the old days, better days. Back when tech was fun to explore because despite the limitations there was something to do with it that couldn’t be done in any other way. Creation with limitations is the best way to create something meaningful, and House of Necrosis is a game that applies that.
