Digimon Story Time Stranger just got even more interesting, especially when you are a Digimon fan like me. A new trailer has dropped, this time revealing the plot of the game, at least a bit of it for those who aren’t aware of the franchise. For those who are aware however, this trailer blew the mind of everyone, we are finally getting more info about the role of Aegiomon and it seems that we will get to see every single Olympos XII this time. It was years since we didn’t get anything related to them, so its nice to finally get a whole game that can give some more context and finally close the Illiad plotline.
Digimon Story Time Stranger got more epic
There was also a Systems trailer one month before, and so far its shaping out to be quite similar to Cyber Sleuth, but much better this time around. Cyber Sleuth was created as a last ditch attempt to do anything with the dying Digimon franchise, between the failed anime series and the terrible Adventure revival, Cyber Sleuth was the only thing that kept the IP afloat. It was thanks to Habu Kazumasa that we still have the opportunity to enjoy such a deep and complex series like Digimon is, and Digimon Story Time Stranger had Habu’s hand in it.
Unfortunately, he has been cut from the team due to unspecified reasons, he claims that he left the team by his own volition. It might also correlate to the fact that Bandai Namco has been trying to get rid of many workers recently, which makes no sense when you have a team of talented people. Regardless, I can only hope that Digimon Story Time Stranger does much better than what some people think it might do, this can be one of the best Digimon Story games in the series if done right.
