With the gaming community looking forward to the next major content piece from HoYoverse, some fresh information regarding Genshin Impact’s Version 5.8 has surfaced, revealing its banner characters and thematic content to fans. Fresh beta builds have been reported to unveil the 4-star characters who will be seen on the Event Banners: the consistently popular Electro Bow user Fischl and the rangy Hydro Sword user Xingqiu. Both characters have been staples since the game’s release and are still widely sought after for deployment in all manner of endgame team sets, their appearances preceded by fresh combat challenges.
In addition to these known faces, Version 5.8 adds a new one in Ineffa, the addition of the Nod-Krai character category. Ineffa, using the Electro Polearm, is an Electro-Charged Support, something that ensures to take this elemental reaction to a new height. The meta emphasis of Version 5.8, its Spiral Abyss and Stygian Onslaught events, is said to be based on Electro-Charged reactions, a promise of a meta change that will favor teams well built around the same element.
Additional information shows that the 5-star banner lineup for Version 5.8 will include Ineffa, Mualani (Hydro Catalyst), Chasca (Anemo Bow), and Citlali (Cryo Catalyst). Although the banner lineup isn’t out yet, it’s most likely Fischl and Xingqiu are included in Ineffa’s launch. Apart from this, reruns of characters such as Bennett, particularly with the new look for him in this patch, are also on the horizon. Ifa or Sucrose might also have a chance to be 4-star reruns since they would both slot well into the main 4-stars and help players complete useful Electro-Charged teams to take on more challenging content.
Genshin Impact Version 5.8 is temporarily scheduled to be released on July 30, with the patch extending through and including September 10. Although only a portion of the banner characters have been officially confirmed by way of these leaks, HoYoverse will probably make official announcement about all the banner rotation in a couple of weeks.
