Blue Archive finally gets out of the nasty content review period of Steam, and fully releases on PC. Fans of the game all across the world are relieved that they can now enjoy their game without any sort of changes. However, it is noted that the gaming sphere is currently dominated by PC games primarily, the mobile game market is starting to mature according to the financial reports of companies such as Koei Tecmo, “its not worth it to keep pushing for that market” some claim. However, gacha is addicting in the wrong kind of ways, so those who remain there are gamblers or soon to be gamblers. We at Infinite Start will cover this release.
Blue Archive finally drops
Blue Archive was an extremely relevant gacha when it launched in Korea, and it has been the main protagonist on a ton of controversies and even on some big political drama. Regardless, it has been cited by some investors as the proof that the mobile game market is pretty much a dead cause, and they are right, Blue Archive actually struggled to find its place in an industry chock full of gacha slopware.
When everyone competes to be the number one live service game, people will default to play the one that released 10 years ago. We can see that with games such as Overwatch, and other major examples like Counter Strike, people are just playing what they are familiar with, the machines where they gambled the most money first. This familiarity is the reason the same live service often rules the market, not only mobile games are becoming a lost cause, but Live service games as a whole are reaching to an end.
Games like Mecha Break have basically lost all players, Babylon’s Fall died in just some weeks, and Concord? Everyone knows that story, even the people outside the medium clamor that the age of Live Service has come to an end.
