Timberborn

Timberborn has been completed at last, a trailer dropped to showcase this amazing achievement, it took quite a while to get where the game is now and the developers must feel very proud for what they accomplished. Timberborn is quite the curious city builder game, if you like furry critters combined with that genre this might be the game you have been searching for quite a while now. Humans don’t exist in this world because we became extinct due to our own contamination, so its up to beavers to take the helm as the dominant species.

Timberborn is out

Beavers building stuff, and us managing a colony of them sounds like an amazing idea, and I can guarantee you that it truly is one of those indie projects that will stick for a long time. There isn’t many City Builders with the quality of Frostpunk, so if you were seeking one that plays different then perhaps this might be the game you were looking for. There really isn’t much to say that hasn’t been already mentioned by others, aside from the fact that there’s a massive 20% discount going on thanks to this game finally coming out for real.

Its a very accessible price, so if you are seeking some cheap fun of the good kind and want to avoid paying for triple A games with questionable quality, perhaps this is the best place to put your money on. There’s 0 microtransactions or any string attached, you just buy it and you start playing, much to the like of older games that really need to make a comeback. Between what seems like an infinite deluge of Live Service games dying, its neat to see an indie title take the spot and become more popular than those, hopefully Timberborn goes as big as it deserves.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
