All Borderlands games are currently being review bombed. This is justified, a new change in the EULA has caused people to rage against 2K Games, this terrible company is now using these games as a trojan to collect data. PC gamers are baffled by the decision to turn the game into what’s essentially a virus, as it destroys the reputation of a once amazing series. Out of all the concerning changes that came out, the fact that all your personal information, even bank IDs, will be collected means that these games are not safe. Do not buy these games, in fact, they came out years ago, you are free to get them for free.
All Borderlands titles became spyware
Out of all the changes in the EULA, these are the least egregious ones out of the bunch:
Mods are a bannable offense, Display of Cheats/Exploits is bannable, Forced arbitration so long as it is permitted in your region, You can be banned for the using a VPN while connecting to online servers, Cannot access game content on a Virtual PC. This technically locks you out of playing it on Linux, unless you find it for free and in a prior version of the game. Along with these changes, the new malware introduced in all titles contains the next things.
Your personal identifiable information, such as age, name, gender, credit card details, browsing history, computer specs, and everything stored on your PC is of free access to them provided you accept with what 2K does. If you value yourself, you will stop playing Borderlands through the means they want and you will find a way to download it for free. You paid for this game, so its ridiculous that now its being used as a data harvest application. 2K was known to be scummy, but now they seem to be in their villain arc.
