Monster Hunter Wilds to receive Stability Improvements and other Fixes in the upcoming Title Update 1

Even though Monster Hunter Wilds has seen enormous commercial success upon release with the game recently hitting over 10 million sold units, it’s PC version is still sitting on a “mixed” rating on Steam for tons of technical and other performance issues that’s been plaguing the game since it’s launch. And although there were multiple patches for Monster Hunter Wilds on all platforms adding more contents to the game, no patches were made to specifically address and fix the issues that players are having on the PC.

But thankfully it all seems to change in the near future as Yuya Tokuda, the Game Director for Monster Hunter Wilds has recently confirmed that the devs have been working on the game’s technical problems and other issues on the PC, and the upcoming Title Update 1 on April 4 will include a lot of those fixes. This is clearly a relief for nearly all players of the game on the PC as the devs have finally confirmed to address the numerous performance issues and other glaring problems that they’ve been having since Monster Hunter Wilds came out back in February.

In the Official Message from the Director, Tokuda has confirmed that the team is currently working to identify and address the game’s technical issues–“This will be an ongoing process,” Tokuda stated. “Where we’ll aim to make continual steps forward in this area and respond to critical issues.”

And as a result, Title Update 1 will include several improvements to the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds such as a reduction in the overall VRAM usage, an upgrade to the DirectStorage version of the game, all of which should yield considerable performance improvements for the game.

“Thank you for your patience as we continue to address reported issues and improve the overall technical experience for players on all platforms,” Tokuda wrote. “Look forward to continued improvements in Free Title Update 1 and future updates and patches to come.”

After more than a month of the game’s release, these words will definitely sound assuring to many PC gamers as Capcom is now confirmed to work on the performance issues, and even though Title Update 1 may not fix all of them, it should address some major ones and deliver a more stable and smoother experience for all players.
