Metro Awakening VR Patch 1.0 Now Available

PLAION has released Metro Awakening VR Patch 1.0 today, addressing various gameplay, audio, and visual issues to enhance the player experience.

● Fixed floating ammo in lockers & boxes
● Fixed enemies still moving & making sounds after being killed
● Fixed out-of-bounds overlay triggering in places where it shouldn’t
● Added option in the menu to enable/disable inventory haptics
● Fixed instances of assets popping in/out in several chapters
● Fixed light bloom disappearing from specific distances & angles
● Reduced jitter on menu & intro texts
● Made melee takedowns slightly more lenient by allowing larger hit area
● Fixed gunshots sometimes having inverse spatialisation
● Fixed inventory rustle sfx sometimes having inverse spatialisation
● Fixed postcards outlines sometimes still being visible after pickup
● Fixed texture on bullets in magazines sometimes appearing incorrectly
● Fixed hand being offset when holding a gas mask filter
● Fixed distorted audio from Nosalis during trolley sections
● Fixed pink material on broken fluorescent lights

● Added missing impact vfx to Nosalis being hit during Prologue
● Fixed snapping to the mounted gun when using Comfort locomotion in Prologue
● Fixed Tasia’s vo lines not coming from the radio when talking to Max in Chapter 01
● Fixed missing confirmation when completing the flashlight charging tutorial in Chapter 01
● Fixed a door instantly popping open after talking to Yana in Chapter 01
● Fixed an NPC spawning in view of the player after saving & loading in Chapter 01
● Fixed Max’s eyes when you first meet him in Chapter 01
● Fixed low performance around Max’s office in Chapter 01
● Fixed some snow appearing pixelated in Chapter 02
● Fixed scale of a fog volume in Chapter 02
● Fixed guard holding his gun incorrectly at the start of Chapter 03
● Fixed Max and his friend not always appearing at the tunnel entrance in Chapter 03
● Fixed players getting stuck when backing out of the tunnel before Max closes the entrance in Chapter 03
● Fixed combat music stopping during fight with slavers in Chapter 05
● Fixed medkit and its lid not properly aligning in Chapter 06
● Fixed Nosalis growls being audible after you killed them all in Chapter 07
● Fixed Tamir walking in place in Chapter 07
● Fixed the Worm Priest’s mouth not moving while speaking in Chapter 08
● Fixed distorted graphics briefly showing through a door in Chapter 07
● Fixed vo line from Oksana cutting short in Chapter 09
● Fixed players getting stuck when manually closing doors that Petya opens in Chapter 10
● Fixed Serdar still making whimpering noises after ghost area end in Chapter 11
● Fixed one cultist spawning in view of the player in Chapter 12
● Fixed incorrect music pacing when being chased out of Hell’s Mouth in Chapter 12
● Fixed gaps in the floor after the trolley explosion in Chapter 12
