This year The Game Awards made a lot of waves. First by nominating Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Game of the Year; followed by various leakers hyping several of the announcements. With announcements ranging from a new Elden Ring, and the return of Onimusha, there is a lot of exciting things to see. To make it easier, every announcement from The Game Awards 2024 can be found below.
Everything Announced at The Game Awards 2024
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
Naughty Dog revealed their next experience, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. A release date was not given, but a blog post was released, and the overview can be found below.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is the newest franchise in development for the PlayStation 5 console from Naughty Dog, the studio behind acclaimed series like The Last of Us and UNCHARTED. Set thousands of years in the future, Intergalactic puts players into the role of Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempiria – a distant planet whose communication with the outside universe went dark hundreds of years ago. Jordan will have to use all her skills and wits if she hopes to be the first person in over 600 years to leave its orbit.
Borderlands 4
Gearbox gave players their first look at Borderlands 4, which seems to be a new direction for the series. Expect more details before it releases in 2025. Following the reveal Gearbox released an expansive blog post on what to expect.
Elden Ring Nightreign
FromSoftware and Bandai Namco revealed Elden Ring Nightreign. It looks to be a bit different from the previous Elden Ring experience. Expect more information before it releases in 2025.
The Witcher IV
CD PROJEKT RED gave players their first look at The Witcher IV.
genDESIGN Game
genDESIGN, which was formed from Team ICO (ICO, Shadow of the Colossus) revealed the next game experience.
Project Century
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios (Yakuza, Like a Dragon) revealed Project Century. The charming trailer features all the action and charm fans of the studio have come to expect.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered
The Last of Us Part II Remastered hits PC on Apr. 3, 2025. More information was also revealed in a blog post.
Onimusha Way of the Sword
Capcom shocked fans by revealing Onimusha Way of the Sword. A release date was not given, but expect more details in the near future. Following the reveal it was confirmed Capcom is targeting 2026. More details can be found in the blog post here.
The Outer Worlds 2
Obsidian Entertainment gave players their first look at The Outer Worlds 2‘s gameplay.
Tekken 8
Clive Rosfield (Final Fantasy XVI) is the next fighter coming to Tekken 8. He will release via 72 hour early access on Dec. 16, followed by releasing for everyone on Dec. 19.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound
Dotemu and The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous) revealed Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. It’s based off the original NES version of Ninja Gaiden, and looks to be a nostalgia filled good time. It will be available Summer 2025 for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Helldivers 2
With Helldivers 2 Omens of Tyranny the ancient Illuminate civilization will return. This includes a wide variety of new enemies, and weapons for players to enjoy. This update is now available, with a blog post further detailing what players can expect.
A new DualSense inspired controller was also revealed.
Okami Sequel
Capcom surprised players by revealing another unexpected return, Okami Sequel. While details are limited, the trailer confirms Hideki Kamiya will return as game director.
The First Berserker: Khazan
Nexon Games revealed The First Berserker: Khazan will release on Mar. 27, 2025.
Crimson Desert
Pearl Abyss confirmed Crimson Desert is set to release late 2025.
Warframe: 1999
The next era in the Warframe franchise, Warframe: 1999, is set to release on Dec. 13 on all platforms.
Thick as Thieves
Otherside Entertainment revealed their PVPVE experience, Thick as Thieves. While players will need to wait until 2026 to experience it, several details were revealed in an expansive blog post.
REMATCH
Sloclap (Sifu) announced Rematch, an intense soccer/football game. It aims to offer a highly competitive experience on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC in 2025.
Solasta II
Kepler Interactive revealed Solasta II. Details are still limited, but players can expect a demo, and early access sometime in 2025.
Sonic X Shadow Generations
Sega teased the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie pack DLC for Sonic X Shadow Generations. The DLC will be available later today.
Dying Light: The Beast
A new trailer was released for Dying Light: The Beast introducing The Baron. The character is described as doing anything for the greater good, which has the potential for a lot of interesting moral and ethical dilemmas. Currently Dying Light: The Beast is set to release summer 2025.
Turok: Origins
Saber Interactive revealed Turok: Origins, which looks to be an intense return to the beloved franchise. A release date was given, but it was confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
ARAD Dungeon & Fighter
Nexon Games gave players a charming look at their upcoming game, ARAD Dungeon & Fighter.
Midnight Murder Club
Velan Studios’ (Knockout City) Midnight Murder Club beta is now available for PlayStation 5, and has crossplay support with PC. Early access hits Feb. 2025. Further details were also revealed in a blog post.
Shadow Labyrinth
Bandai Namco revealed Shadow Labyrinth, an unusual Metroidvania take on Pac-Man. Prepare to consume darkness on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2025.
Split Fiction
Hazelight Studios (It Takes Two) revealed their next cooperative gameplay experience, Split Fiction. It will release on Mar. 6, and feature Friend Pass, which is an amazing feature that lets owners play with someone who does not own the game. In the mean time, PlayStation Plus subscribers can download their previous game, It Takes Two, for free this month.
Palworld
Pocketpair revealed Palworld Feybreak will release on Dec. 23. With this update there will be new pals, mechanics, buildings, faction leader, and more to discover.
Slay the Spire 2
Mega Crit Games gave players their first look at Slay the Spire 2.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
Sega revealed a cinematic teaser for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. No release date was given, but it will release sometime in the future for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
FragPunk
Bad Guitar Studio’s upcoming free-to-play hero shooter, FragPunk, will release on Mar. 5, 2025.
Mafia: The Old Country
Players were given another look at Mafia: The Old Country. It’s currently set to release summer 2025.
Screamer
Milestone revealed an exciting new racing experience, Screamer. Expect an intense time when it releases in 2026.
Squid Game Unleashed
Netflix Games revealed Squid Game Unleashed. It will offer the same highs and lows of the beloved series on Dec. 17.
Double Dragon Revive
Preorders are now live for Double Dragon Revive. It’s currently set to release on Oct. 23, 2025.
Killing Floor 3
New gameplay was revealed for Killing Floor 3. Expect lot’s of death when it releases in Mar. 2025.
Steel Paws
Netflix Games revealed Steel Paws, which is a mobile game from Yu Suzuki (Shenmue).
Game Of Thrones: Kingsroad
A new trailer for Game Of Thrones: Kingsroad was released. This mobile game is currently set to release in 2025.
Den of Wolves
10 Chambers gave players their first look at Den of Wolves‘ gameplay.
Dave the Diver
Mintrocket showcased the next Dave the Diver DLC, In the Jungle. Players can expect it in late 2025.
Kyora
Pugstorm (Core Keeper) revealed their next adventure, Kyora. It’s set to release in Early Access on steam sometime in the future.
New Virtua Fighter Project
Sega teased a new Virtua Fighter project, which will be further detailed in a live stream on Dec. 13 at midnight EST/Dec. 12 at 9 pm PST.
Steel Hunters
Wargaming Group (World of Tanks) gave players their first look at Steel Hunters. Those interested can also sign up for the play test via Steam.
The Long Dark 2: Blackfrost
Hinterland Studio revealed The Long Dark 2: Blackfrost. Those interested can join early access when it launches in 2026.
Wuthering Waves
Kuro Games confirmed Wuthering Waves will release for PlayStation 5 on Jan. 2, 2025. This will also be the release of version 2.0.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII
2K Games revealed the opening to Sid Meier’s Civilization VII. It will release on February. 11, 2025.
Stage Fright
Ghost Town Games (Overcooked) revealed Stage Fright. The trailer is a mix of charming visuals, and fun mechanics for players to explore. Unfortunately, a release date was not given.
One Move Away
Playstack and Ramage Games revealed One Move Away. This charming experience will be available in 2025.
CRKD Guitar
CRKD revealed their next controller will be their take on a Guitar. Details were not given besides it being slated to release in 2025.
