At long last Dragon Age: The Veilguard is finally available, and with it a new adventure to explore. While many are excited to see what the world has to offer, those who preorder, or purchase the Deluxe Edition will want to know how to access their cosmetics. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy, though we will give a brief outline in the event you want to know what to expect.
How to Access Dragon Age: The Veilguard Deluxe Edition Cosmetics
Unlocking Cosmetics
Both the preorder, and Deluxe Edition cosmetics should be unlocked by default. However, none of these will be usable until the end of chapter one.
After that there will be a pop up mentioning costumes can be used, with a chest to the left. Interacting with it should give all the cosmetics unlocked up to that point.
Using Cosmetics
Interacting with the chest a second time will take players to another screen where armor, weapon skins, and unlocked companions equipment can be changed.
Most items will have a Deluxe design, including weapons and companion armor. Please note, missing equipment cannot be reskinned until obtained. So if you want to change the helmet design it needs to be unlocked, something I accomplished in chapter two, before it can be altered.
Are There Free Options?
While this guide is centered on paid DLC, there is actually a surprisingly high amount of unlockable skins.
Said skins can be found by either getting the item, or through optional chests. Said chests seem relatively easy to find, often with an indicator below the mini-map when one is near, and on the map when the location is known. Some will require overcoming a puzzle, or similar obstacles, so make sure to keep an eye out for them.
