EPOS Reveals H6PRO, Their Latest Open and Closed Back Flagship Headset

Just in time for the holidays, EPOS reveals H6PRO, their latest gaming headset designed with hardcore players in mind.

By taking their experience with the extremely popular GSP 600 series of headsets, H6PRO boasts a number of exciting improvements. These include a new lightweight design, the amazingly helpful magnet mic, which is also present on their other recent headset, H3 Hybrid, along with premium materials, universal compatibility and more.

EPOS describes some of these notable features as follows:

Enhanced ergonomics, comfort, and weight

Gaming for hours on end? This lightweight headset features an updated slim headband with improved padding, plus 2-axis hinged ear cups that conform to your unique anatomy.

Unparalleled audio reproduction

The H6PRO uses the best transducers on the market to deliver expansive, immersive, masterfully reproduced audio. Plus, its open acoustic design will keep your ears cool – even in the heat of battle.

Detachable lift-to-mute boom microphone

The H6PRO is equipped with a longer and slimmer microphone for optimized voice pickup. Instantly mute yourself by lifting the boom arm, or pop it off and replace it with the included cover plate when not in use.

Compatible with all major platforms

This headset comes with exchangeable cables for PC, Mac®, PS4™ , PS5™, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and It’s also compatible with sound cards like the GSX 300 to create even more epic audio experiences.

Perhaps the biggest change with H6PRO is adopting both open and closed acoustic gaming options. While most of EPOS’ headsets, like most companies, are closed back, the open back models include a couple exciting features besides a different design.

According to EPOS, those benefits include the following:

The open acoustic design creates an expansive, immersive and realistic soundscape. Gamers can remain aware of their surroundings and hear their own voice naturally instead of processed sidetone with microphone monitoring. The open-backed ear cups also offer improved ventilation for cooler ears.

This gives gamers a lot of options, which is furthered by offering H6PRO in three attractive colors, including the unique racing green. This follows EPOS’ tradition of offering distinct color combos beyond the traditional black and white.

Those interested can currently order either H6PRO headset for $179. But, for those still on the fence, check back in a couple of days when our review of H6PRO closed acoustic gaming headset goes live.
