Lufia I & II The Sinistrals Saga will be releasing in 2027, and it will be the best year for PC gamers seeking something that runs in their low budget PCs. At the same time, it is clear that it will just be a port with some extra features, hopefully the translation efforts got much better compared to the original version of the game. There is a ton of love for classic games lately, considering what’s going around the industry these days, and it seems that resurrecting old classics is proving to be quite a successful strategy. We will see if this causes the Lufia series to revive.

This is huge because these games really brought some innovation to the JRPG genre. Not to mention the story of the game itself, it truly was one of a kind for the early days of the Super Nintendo system. It was one of the first games to include a New Game Plus feature, even if I don’t really care about the concept itself, this was insanely cool back in the day when your options were limited. The story is what matters the most in games of this kind, and Lufia truly delivers something well paced.
Lufia I & II The Sinistrals Saga might signify a revival of the series if everything goes well, but considering how ports like this are received on PC we might not see this happening. It truly is sad, but PC gamers are overly focused on the graphic aspect rather than caring on if a game is good or not. This is the reason many companies can just give us a visual spectacle but not provide any kind of meaningful gameplay. Regardless, I’m still happy to see a classic like this returning.
