Motherboard prices will boom, thanks to the whole “AI” debacle that seems to be nearing its final breaking point. Hopefully this will cause things to stabilize and for price increases to not happen, unfortunately, even when the “AI” bubble bursts, prices will not move down most probably as they will try to hold them artificially for as long as they desire. That doesn’t meant that “AI” isn’t the fault of our current issues in many areas, especially when it comes to hardware access, things just don’t look good for PC gaming, in fact, PC gaming might need to wait a few years to return.
Motherboard prices will hike
It feels like we can’t catch a break as gamers, not only will this affect supply and demand, but it will also affect the production of any sort of hardware that relies on modern architectures. Consoles will become even more expensive than PCs if we keep going this route, unless we talk about FPGAs or things like the Evercade. Sega also is filled with rumors about a new console using a storage method that isn’t affected by “AI”, but it would mainly work on small games that reminisce of the retro days.
Of course, all of this is just some extras to the current crisis of today, the looming Motherboard price increase that will doom us all and put some final nails in the hobby PC market. Thankfully this won’t last forever, when people simply can’t afford PCs, a ton of services will just stop being a thing, it will be like an Ouroboros eating its tail, the very same people who pushed us into this toxic relations with technology will end up creating their own demise. Until then, we will have to wait and see, maybe stock up if Motherboard prices worry you.
