It’s here–the marketing campaign for GTA 6 has finally begun as Rockstar Games has just revealed the official box art for the upcoming open world behemoth and you can watch the announcement for the cover art below:
The announcement also reveals that pre-orders for GTA 6 will start from June 25, which is just around a week later, making the sense of excitement go through the roofs. Previously, we’ve only seen the trailers but this new announcement just kicks things up several notches as it’s abundantly clear that we’re slowly closing in on the biggest entertainment product, as well as the most awaited videogame of all time and the only real downside to all of that is PC players can’t join in as GTA 6 isn’t expected to release on the platform at least a year after it comes out for the current-gen consoles.
The official cover art for GTA 6 is made in the same visual themes as that of nearly all earlier titles in the franchise, with smaller cut-outs showcasing different characters (including the protagonists), wildlife and various activities that you’ll be able to do in the gigantic and enormously detailed world of Vice City. You can also download the cover art in this link which also has a whole new description of the game that reads:
“When an easy score lands Jason and Lucia in a conspiracy stretching across the entire state of Leonida, the young criminal couple find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America – forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
Rockstar has also released a new glimpse of the Vice city skyline in GTA 6 which is incredibly lifelike and photorealistic, suggesting the boundary-pushing visual prowess of their upcoming Magnum Opus.
GTA 6 is slated to launch for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
