A Thief: The Dark Project Remaster has been announced, and PC gamers have been waiting for a long while to get any sort of news on developments like this. Thief is the definitive experience if you seek a stealth simulator that allows you to do what a fantasy thief would. Back in the 90s this game was huge because there was a ton of things to do and various systems to interact with that were still in their infancy. Hopefully, this Remaster turns out to be good, an improvement over the original game that is worth playing for those who wish to relive the memories.
Thief: The Dark Project Remaster coming soon
We still don’t know much info behind this, but perhaps this one will be dropping this year. There is a very important addition to this pack however, and that’s the fact that add ons and mods will be supported so you can create your own campaigns and scenarios, sharing them with others. This is huge because modding the original version in newer systems tends to be a pain considering you are tinkering with an old game from the 90s, which is prone to just not working on modern Windows like many other games.
Thief was huge back in the day, however a set of bad decisions caused the franchise to decline with time, until its eventual demise was met in the Xbox platform where it was laid to rest. However people still play the old game, analyze it, and even keep making mods despite all of the years that have passed, so it is great to see the studio behind this gem try to breathe some life upon it with a Thief: The Dark Project Remaster. Depending on when it drops, I might be able to review Thief: The Dark Project Remaster.
