2026 has been a triumphant year for Capcom with two of it’s latest AAA achieving great critical and commercial success which has resulted in the company earning an all-time-high profits of 59.07 million sales in total. As mentioned by Capcom’s financial results for the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2026, the company has earned upwards of 15.2% in terms of net sales over previous year which is incredibly impressive.

It’s also reported that Resident Evil Requiem, which came out in February this year, has had a total of 6.91 million sold units with Capcom mentioning that 83.7% of its total sales came from older titles while 93% of the revenue came in the form of digital downloads.

“During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, Capcom’s core Digital Contents business drove results, delivering annual sales of 59.07 million units, an increase of over 7.1 million units from the previous year. Drivers of growth included the release of Resident Evil Requiem, the latest title in the series, as well as catalog titles sales led by the same series. Further, the company expanded earnings by leveraging its major brands in movies, character merchandise, and esports, while also carrying out steady store operations and promoting new store formats in its Arcade Operations business, and continuing to release smart pachislo machines in its Amusement Equipments business,” Capcom stated.

The company has also said that they expect the next fiscal year to be possibly even higher in terms of net revenue with anticipated total sales of 210,000 million yen and operating profit of 83,000 million yen.

Capcom has also mentioned their ongoing research and integration of generative AI which is aimed at boosting the various development processes:

“The Company continues to aggressively pursue growth investments aimed at building its development environment. This includes research and development into cutting-edge technologies such as its proprietary game engine, other development investments, and the use of generative AI to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the game development processes,” Capcom states.
