The Talos Principle 3 is the grand finale to the series, at least that’s what the trailer shows us, and it might end up being one of the hardest puzzle PC games ever, hopefully. I will always die on the hill that each new entry has to be harder than the last one if its not going to implement anything particularly new, and since The Talos Principle was always about puzzles then this one has to be way harder. I’m not sure how gamers nowadays will take a puzzle game, considering reading and thinking don’t seem to be a popular thing to do nowadays, but at least the old fans will be happy.

We all know this one will be dropping in 2027, as it was just announced today that they still need some more time to work on it. Games take a ton of time to make, it is crazy to know that the first one dropped around 2014 and after that they seemed to really focus on doing VR versions and other things that maybe didn’t take off. The Talos Principle 2 by comparison is a 2023 game, and so far I believe it might have been one of the games that took so many years to make. Now there’s also a remake of the first one for those interested.
Remaking also tends to take time since developers aim for completely redoing the game, although some take the easy and buggy route like Bethesda to pass the original game through some filters. Hopefully this new The Principle of Talos entry ends up being the best one out of the three, as we need more players in the industry that shows that the medium is still alive and well. Providing with quality and creativity, along with expressing themselves, should always be the main drive of game developers.
