Star Wars: Galactic Racer is going to be free of DRM for now, DRM shouldn’t even be a thing considering how much it affects the performance of entry level systems for people who can’t afford good PCs. This is a turning point in gaming, because removing this software even before the game comes out means that we will probably see more developers doing the same for other games. Hopefully companies start making deals with other DRM companies or making other methods to crack down on piracy temporarily, at least to secure initial sales.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer should be bought
Thanks to this gesture of kindness I believe that more people should consider buying this game. The fact that a developer removes Denuvo from things means that they want people to actually enjoy the game how its meant to be enjoyed. I feel like tons of people might end up buying it from what I’ve seen in posts, but others still remain wary that they might end up replacing it with another solution from another company. It would suck but its the most probably scenario too, and I also have another scenario to suggest considering this even happened.
Denuvo might have been removed from Star Wars: Galactic Racer because the game runs terrible with it, and to ensure that this game even works in the first place they had to take the compromise of doing this. There has been multiple issues with games that have slowed down to a crawl thanks to software like Denuvo and other DRMs in the market, such as Enigma which Capcom tends to use. Anyways, we will know more about what will happen with Star Wars: Galactic Racer in the future and I will keep people updated on things related to it. Until then, I recommend to wishlist this game.
