Crimson Desert’s critical reception is experiencing a sharp spike after the release of it’s newest patch which has fixed many of the game’s control-related issues and has also made the difficulty a tad bit lower, resulting in a more friendlier gameplay experience which means the game should be much more enjoyable now for all players, after applying the patch. So it’s safe to say that if you were finding Crimson Desert to be a bit overwhelming, especially in it’s gameplay, you should try it out now after getting the latest patch which ought to improve your moment-to-moment experience a lot more, in many ways.
Also, there will be more patches and other updates to Crimson Desert in the coming weeks as Pearl Abyss has already stated, including even more improvements to it’s controls on the Keyboard and Mouse combo. The studio has wrote:
“Your feedback has been invaluable to us, and we appreciate the time and care you have taken to share it with us. This patch includes some of the improvements and fixes we were able to prepare first, including changes based on player feedback, like the addition of a Storage at Howling Hill Camp for storing your Inventory items and some improvements related to keyboard and mouse controls.
“However, this is not the end to our control improvements; we will continue to improve both controller and keyboard/mouse controls moving forward,” and considering how greatly the controls can affect the gameplay, it’s only natural that it’d end up giving the overall review scores a boost.
Crimson Desert is on it’s way to become a huge hit with the game already sold over 2 million units on release date and hopefully plenty more in the coming days and weeks. However, despite crossing the sales milestone, the game’s stock had fall 9.78% more on top of the earlier 29% drop after it’s initial review scores were revealed. Hopefully, at least some of the stock value jumps right back up after the recent spike in Steam review ratings, which goes a long way to show how much players are enjoying the game.
