One of the biggest titles to have released this month which has already surpassed more than one million sold copies within a week, developer Rebel Wolves’ The Blood of Dawnwalker is now confirmed to get a whole new difficulty mode in a patch scheduled for next month. In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the game director for developer Rebel Wolves, has stated that The Blood of Dawnwalker is set to receive an easier difficulty mode, based on player requests.
“The Story mode which we have right now will be a different difficulty – we will call it Demanding or something like this – and we will add a new Story mode which will be even easier for people who don’t want to experience the combat, they just want to learn the story and go through the game without this gameplay challenge,” the director said.
So if by any chance, you’re having a hard time getting into the game’s combat but find the story really intriguing, the new difficulty will allow you to sidestep most of the action and just blitz through the main narrative experience. The new mode will also make the game appeal to an even larger, more casual audience who’d prefer a cinematic experience than getting into the engaging and time-consuming combat.
Rebel Wolves’ open world fantasy action RPG is also set to receive a New Game Plus mode in the near future, although it’s currently unknown when. The popular mode may bring a new twist into the limited-time structure of The Blood of Dawnwalker and open up whole new approaches to it’s gameplay.
In other news of The Blood of Dawnwalker, it’s also been recently revealed that the vampire action RPG was made with a modest $40 million which means it veers more into the category of AA titles than blockbuster AAAs, thereby making it’s commercial success all the more impressive.
