Remedy’s Control Resonant is set to launch tomorrow and the developers have requested all players to avoid spoilers on social media for at least the next couple of weeks, as the upcoming title is a strongly narrative-driven experience, spoilers can ruin your experience of the game in more ways than one. Although the devs didn’t say to stop posting spoilers on the internet, but only to avoid reading them and if you do intend to post them anyway, you should mark them clearly in order to avoid ruining another player’s experience of Control Resonant.
In a recent post on their official X/Twitter account, Remedy has wrote the following to all potential players of their new third person action adventure title:
“We’re excited to welcome you into Altered Manhattan. We’ve spent the last few years packing Dylan Faden’s adventure full of surprises and twists, and want everyone to be able to enjoy CONTROL Resonant totally fresh.
To help make that a reality we ask that, across the next couple of weeks, you don’t share story details on your social media without clear warnings. As always, please treat each other with kindness, and respect everyone’s right to experience the game spoiler-free.
We definitely want you to share your opinions, though, and can’t wait to hear what you all think when CONTROL: Resonant releases this Thursday!”
Although many users have pointed out that any possibility of spoilers is far more likely from content creators who got early copies of the game than from average players, while some have said that for a game that got early access period exclusive to one platform, as Control Resonant have, chances for getting spoiled is much greater than otherwise.
Control Resonant lets you play as Dylan Faden and take on a wide range of paranormal foes in a trippy, anti-gravity environment where you get to control a shapeshifting weapon titled ‘The Aberrant’. You’ll also be able to upgrade the weapon and unlock more forms and supernatural abilities that will provide a dynamic tool of exciting combat system which looks and feels pretty great and has the potential to be one of the most memorable videogame experiences this year. The platforming with the ability to realign entire buildings and large structures looks equally promising and compliments the action well enough.
Control Resonant is set to release on September 24, 2026 for the Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows and macOS.
