Crimson Moon is a very brutal game just from the looks of it, and we finally know thanks to a trailer that it will drop in September 1st of 2026 if things go well. I really wonder how this one will play out considering that it puts lots of emphasis into the cooperative aspect. There is also the fact that this one will have dynamic difficulty scaling, which is great for accessibility, yet it does not mean that everyone will get rewarded the same. Those who take on the greatest challenge will be amply rewarded, which is the way games like Crimson Moon should work.
Crimson Moon looks great
I can’t wait to see it release soon, there is a ton of potential in this new title, of course, if you aren’t a fan of cooperative games you can actually play this whole game by yourself if you so desire. Options like this should be a thing for every game, nothing should be forced to be solely for the sake of playing with others. Yet, it is cool that we are going towards something more cooperative instead of something competitive. People are getting burnt out with competitive games that require tons of hours put into them, so we just need to rest a bit.
Crimson Moon is definitely something to look forward to, because the combat is definitely its highest point. Always based in Melee, we will be able to upgrade the abilities of our Nephilim, to the point it becomes a sort of demi god on earth that can purge hordes upon hordes of enemies. Being a soulslike, we have to keep in mind that this one might be brutal in the highest difficulties available, so if you aren’t confident in your skills, the game will thankfully adapt to your level.
