Pocketpair has deployed its v1.0.2 update for Palworld, marking the second post-launch patch since the survival crafting title exited Early Access earlier this month. The new build targets several stability issues that emerged following the 1.0 release, with a heavy emphasis on dedicated server crashes, boss encounter bugs, and regional performance optimization.
The primary focus of this update resolves critical disconnects during high-level boss encounters on multiplayer servers. Players facing Panthalus on dedicated servers will no longer experience sudden game crashes or mass disconnections mid-fight. Additionally, the patch resolves an issue where the Tower Boss encounter with Victor & Shadowbeak resulted in the pair permanently disappearing from the arena after executing a teleportation move.
Beyond encounter fixes, the 1.0.2 patch delivers targeted stability and visual corrections across key regions introduced in the full release. Terrain rendering bugs affecting players loading into The World Tree area while joining a host have been resolved, alongside a fix for heavily distorted graphics specific to Mac hardware in the same region. Optimization adjustments were also applied to the Sunreach zone, lowering overall system processing load to stabilize frame rates in the area.
Quality-of-life additions round out the update, including expanded key binding support for the “Attack that enemy!” command and the primary Inventory screen. Pocketpair also resolved dialogue interaction bugs that left screens permanently faded out during main and side missions, fixed multiple unachievable achievement triggers, and corrected control binding conflicts for legacy save files imported from pre-0.7 versions.
