Level-5 seeks massive dev time cuts by using Gen AI

Level-5

Level-5 is pretty much giving up as a whole because they don’t seem to know how to make games anymore, or at least anything that normal people care about. Currently, they insanely believe that they can cut down five years of development to two years because they will start using AI heavily to pump out stuff. As you can see, this is terrible, nobody wants any of this, alas Level-5 is completely out of touch with reality and how things work, we can expect this one to die in just a few years if they don’t reconsider their poor choices.

Level-5 becomes slop

It is truly sad because back in the day, this used to be a company you could rely on, the games they made were amazing, they pretty much created the Professor Layton series. All of their worlds, puzzles, ideas and characters were handcrafted, but after the failure of Yokai Watch (ironically, by pumping out stuff quickly), they have never been the same at all. Now they wish to repeat the same mistakes they did in the past, thinking that this will be a solution instead, if you repeat the same expecting something different then you are the walking concept of insanity.

Alas, we live in an insane world right now, a world that seems to want to purge all jobs and suddenly generate the biggest profits of all time. However they don’t think that by doing this, they are killing off the very people who buy things in the first place, the cycle cannot be infinite because the concept is ludicrous. Companies need people more than people need companies, and we are starting to see this with the big decline in people buying games. Now if you add AI to the mix, less people will want to buy.
