Despite the recent round of layoffs which has resulted in an undisclosed number of employees being let go from the company, it’s been revealed that the CEO of EA has received a huge bonus of $38.7 million for the 2026 financial year, along with multiple other executives who also got significant amount of bonuses. During EA’s third round of layoffs, an unknown number of workers assigned in non-development roles were let go which include teams based in USA and India and shortly after, it’s unveiled that several executives in the company have received large bonuses cause of the huge sales numbers of some of their games.

Based on a new report by Eurogamer, EA CEO Andrew Wilson has received a total compensation of $38,694,984 which includes bonus payments while several other execs have also got significant bonuses on top of their salaries including CFO Stuart Canfield who received a total of $11.3 million, President Laura Miele, who was awarded $13.7 million, Chief People Officer Mala Singh who earned $8.3 million and the Chief Legal Officer who received $8.4 million.

However, a huge part of the bonus salaries have been possible solely cause of the phenomenal success of Battlefield 6 which was the highest selling title of 2025, surpassing both it’s arch-rival Call of Duty as well as NBA 2K26, and is definitely the crowning achievement of EA in recent times.

Although, just five months after celebrating the game’s triumphant launch, publisher EA had laid off an undisclosed number of developers across all the different Battlefield teams in order to “better align” the company based on “what matters most to our community.”

And, as outlined by PC Gamer, the EA CEO’s salary has increased by $8 million from the previous year, and all of it has been due to the overwhelming success of Battlefield 6.

Other games from the EA stable that have done considerably well in terms of commercial revenue are EA Sports FC, Apex, Skate among others.
