Although Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced won’t be releasing till the second week of July, the day 1 Patch for the remake has already surfaced along with the list of tweaks and improvements it contains. And though the update is currently scheduled for July 3, the patch notes indicate that the intended date may change based on ‘First Party Approvals’. Also, the patch contains multiple performance and stability fixes, so before you start Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, make sure you have the day 1 patch up and running.
Here’s the full patch notes for the PC version of the upcoming remake:
- Game performance improved on all platforms: Please wait until Day 1 Title Update for performance tests and analysis
- In addition to integrating general stability and fixes and optimizations, here is the non-exhaustive list of global issues that will be fixed with the Day 1 Title Update:
- Some quests may occasionally stall under specific edge-case conditions such as NPC or desync-related triggers. A specific rare walkthrough break could be encountered in Sequence 9 Quest ‘Trust is earned’ where Burgess fails to react.
The workaround is to reload the save from the Sequence 7 Quest, ‘We Demand a Parlay’ - Minor UI inconsistencies may occur in select scenarios without impacting core navigation or gameplay
- World tab may disappear from the menu, but the map remains accessible by pressing the map button
- Occasional cosmetic texture and model irregularities may appear on character assets on certain platforms.
- Some quests may occasionally stall under specific edge-case conditions such as NPC or desync-related triggers. A specific rare walkthrough break could be encountered in Sequence 9 Quest ‘Trust is earned’ where Burgess fails to react.
- Character cloth simulation can sometimes display small erratic behaviors.
- Visual and behavioral inconsistencies may occur during boarding sequences with no impact on core gameplay.
- Rare collision and scripted event issues have been identified in fort encounters and open world activities.
- Isolated performance dips and extended loading screens may occur in specific areas on some platforms.
- Minor lighting inconsistencies are present in a few World locations, particularly underwater and in caves.
- Minor and rare rendering issues in water or clouds
- Assets popping when streaming in some locations of the game
- A small number of edge-case animation and control issues have been identified across various gameplay systems.
- Some lines in the German localization will be in French in Day0 (text lines only)
The highly anticipated remake of the classic 2013 title also features a heavily reworked combat system since the original would feel terribly out-of-place in the current-day era of gaming in more ways than one. The new combat mechanics feels a whole lot more fluid and seamless while also featuring a more intuitive HUD with two mini-menus in each bottom corner which allows for seamless switching between the different types of weapons and items.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is slated to be released on July 9th.
