Wreckfest 2 is a game published by THQ Nordic, and now its getting even bigger thanks to this 7th update that seems to be for free without any strings attached this time. A trailer showcases what we can expect from it, and honestly things are looking pretty good for those who have been following the series for a long time. It is important to keep in mind however that recent reviews for the game are below favorable, many citing that each new update actually ends up breaking the game further as more keep piling up, these are the tells of a weak early access game.
Wreckfest 2 might be an actual wreckfest
The Wreck is the bugs we met along the way, at least that’s how the customer reviews feel about it, there’s a ton of things that should be improved if people want to see something playable and stable, however some have lost faith. An user claims that as more updates keep piling up, the game crashes more often and runs even worse, this is something that shouldn’t be happening if the foundation of the games code was good in the first place. What makes things even more suspicious is that this is still an early access game that asks for decent money.
Wreckfest 2 might be a game that never really ends up coming out fully, or it might end up getting updates once it comes out of early access, which will prompt people to call it a scam but it technically wouldn’t be. I always feel like Early Access is a double edged sword, on the one hand you get to enjoy the game early and for cheaper, on the other you just do beta tester job without getting paid for it. Regardless, it feels like gamers never really win when they play an early access like Wreckfest 2.
