Tekken 8 has been having a rough time, but with the trailer reveal of Kunimitsu moves some players might be excited to play their favorite ninja. Kunimitsu has been in the series since the very early days, and it was often just a moveset swap with Yoshimitsu. However, we don’t have to underestimate her, as she came prepared with some new moves we have to learn if we want to master her aggressive play style. It is true that the vibes of the game are geared towards the casual audience, but a true Tekken head would never lose matches if they put their soul on it.
Tekken 8 adds Kunimitsu
There’s more characters coming down the road, but hopefully the balance of the game will be fine, there has been tons of proof that when Tekken adds more and more characters to the roster, things get out of control however. Some are hesitant, they already hate the state of the game as it is because they never nerf King in any meaningful way, but at the same time it feels as if people were losing to a pub stomper like the good all days. Perhaps they need to brush off their skills before complaining.
Tekken 8 is far from perfect however, the bait and switch micro transactions have made it a very divisive game, and it marked a time where Bandai Namco decided to just screw with the players in a rather malicious way too. Tekken 7 will be remembered by many as the last good game, but its still a shame that Tekken 8 gets sidelined despite having tons of love behind it, at least when it comes to the single player experience. I still hold that Tekken 2 is the best one out of the bunch, so they will have to try harder to replicate that experience.
