Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has revealed a new trailer showcasing the all new interpretation on the Avengers. Japan always has some interesting takes when it comes to adapting American heroes, as there has been quite the lineage of super hero games produced in Japan by Capcom. These were massive hits in the arcades, and they have even spawned a whole crossover series known as Marvel Vs Capcom, which now seems to remain inactive. This one however isn’t handled by Capcom, but by Arc System Works themselves, yet another company known for the genre.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls coming soon

The Avengers are a very important icon in pop culture, and as we can see these group is named the “Fighting Avengers” the trained eye would find out that they aren’t the actual Avengers we know and love, but a new generation team that has replaced Black Panther with a female character named Shuri. The redesigns also give off that vibe of “New Generation”, although if we are sure of one thing is the fact that Hulk might end up being the best grappler in the game. There has been a lot of hype surrounding Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and it might be what ends up replacing Marvel vs Capcom.

People have been missing something since the aforementioned series ended with a less than ideal third entry. After the disaster of Marvel vs Capcom 3 things have never recovered and people thought that this would be the end of the super hero fighting game genre, however this niche has been revived at last with something worth playing. We still don’t have tons of details behind the game, since people have yet to put their hands on it, but it truly looks like an entry that the fighting game community will adore.
