Moonrise Fall is free to keep forever as long as you are quick to add it to your Steam library on PC, this is a pretty cool indie game that recently became published by GrabTheGames, company that seems to be a fan of giving stuff for free. Maybe its some marketing tactic to hype up the developer, or maybe its some shady tactic to boost the name of the publisher itself. However, one thing that people can’t deny is the fact that everyone likes free stuff, so be quick before the offer ends on the 2nd of the following moth cause it won’t happen again.
Moonrise Fall is free
Things like this are rare to behold, especially when the game that gets offered from free is made with love and effort. Moonrise Fall is an interesting puzzle game that really feels very immersive despite the graphical style its using, I’m a firm believer that limitations breed creativity and art can take many shapes. Sometimes games that try to aim for realism often date pretty badly while games like Moonrise Fall just end up aging like fine wine. It could release today and it would still be valid cause Pixel art is just a way to do things.
Steam is often the best storefront if you want to get your hands into freebies and good offers, however GOG is doing its best to provide the same treatment to games while also allowing you to own them without fear of a DRM. Valve should consider relaxing how DRM works in their platform to ensure these games can be preserved and owned by the people who buy them. We need a legal framework to make the word “buy” mean what it truly is, and it is crazy we are having this discussion in the first place.
