A newly discovered rating by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea indicates that a city-building crossover titled LEGO Skylines is currently in development. According to the public classification listing, which was officially registered on April 9, the unannounced project is being published by Paradox Interactive.
The partnership suggests a direct, block-based spin-off of Colossal Order’s popular Cities: Skylines franchise. Paradox Interactive is primarily recognized for its deep catalog of grand strategy titles, including Crusader Kings and Stellaris, but the publisher has frequently collaborated with external studios to diversify its portfolio. Introducing the LEGO license to a established simulation framework would mark a significant shift for both properties.
While neither Paradox Interactive nor The LEGO Group have formally acknowledged the project, the timing of the classification points to a potential reveal during the upcoming summer showcase cycle. Industry events such as Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, scheduled for June 5, have historically served as the launchpad for major LEGO video game reveals. Observers note that LEGO Party! and LEGO Voyagers both made their public debuts during the same presentation last year.
The South Korean regulatory board’s updated database also exposed several other high-profile projects alongside the LEGO title. Listings were spotted for Atlus’s upcoming JRPG remake Persona 4: Revival, Microsoft’s Gears of War: E-Day, and Bandai Namco’s Ace Combat 8. Additionally, a newly rated version of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has fueled industry speculation regarding an upcoming software lineup for Nintendo’s unannounced Switch successor.
