Morbid Metal

Morbid Metal is a new game published by Ubisoft but made by a small studio that has some very interesting ideas, a trailer shows us that this game is coming very soon to PC, so for those whoa re interested mark April 8th in your calendars. This game will mix the idea of roguelites with character action games like Devil May Cry, it even has a combo system with ranks like it, and it truly looks like quite the unique mix of genres. This one is a single player game but maybe online leaderboards for scoring can be implemented in some way or another with a future update.

Morbid Metal coming soon

You can try out the new demo, which is also not that new because it dropped the previous year, this game is being developed by two people who already have some experience in the industry, so we can be assured that this title will be a tad more enjoyable than others. If you really like going wild on your enemies and making sick combos to rack some big score by killing hordes, this might be the game you are seeking. The game will be releasing in early access so expect to see some updates in the future if it is successful.

I feel like Morbid Metal has the potential to be a heavy hitter in 2026, and if it manages to be a good game it might even perhaps be the thing that pulls Ubisoft from the grave they threw themselves into. The Rayman Collection they dropped recently was a disaster however, so if they are unable to respect the mascot who made them what they are in the first place I have many doubts Morbid Metal might end up being a big hit. And if it happens to be, it will be thanks to team SCREEN JUICE, and not Ubisoft.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
