Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert is currently being hyped up by many as this huge game made by an Indie studio, however the reality is that this game is already made by the same people who made Black Desert, an MMO that is filled with controversy and a ton of backlash. This new announcement of the game having Denuvo has spurred a ton of controversy surrounding this new release, some even saying that they won’t even buy the game due to this issue. People are right to be worried, Denuvo is known to be very dangerous, not to mention that it has always hampered sales of games whenever it was used.

Crimson Desert under fire

There’s a ton to discuss about the issues with Denuvo, but putting things simply we just have to say that Denuvo is a software that prevents people from owning what they buy and paid for. In the current era the concept of buying seems to be misunderstood, when you pay for something you acquire a good, and that good stays forever with you. Unfortunately it does not seem that companies care about this undeniable fact, and instead decide to force us into covert subscriptions when we already paid for games.

The company behind Crimson Desert, Pearl Abyss, is known for being very controversial, from terrible microtransactions in their games alongside unethical practices in the industry, there’s a ton of story to be told about them. Drama might be more popular than the game itself, and its what people do the most when it comes to games coming from this company, the quality of them leaves a lot to be desired. The same company claims that people shouldn’t be worried about performance issues, but many don’t buy this basic damage control technique and demand Pearl Abyss to remove Denuvo from Crimson Desert altogether.
