Capcom is surfing on a wave of momentum, a ton of new games coming from their hands have been nothing short of amazing, and PC really helped them. This might also signal that the Capcom CEO believes the “AI” bubble might be bursting very soon. Having this sort of opinion on today’s PC gaming space is rather hard considering the rising costs, but he has to have some economic insight to know what’s coming. Think about it, the less you use “AI”, the closest we get to popping this bubble in such a way that will cause hardware to become basically free.
Capcom hits the target
Capcom has been performing very well lately, in fact PC pretty much carried their sales recently and it has been amazing. Its obvious that the CEO would say such a thing considering how much money PC has given them these years, maybe they should focus on always releasing everything for this platform. While Exoprimal was a massive flop, this was because it was a live service game and Capcom didn’t know better than to chase a trend rather than becoming a trend setter. Hopefully they have learnt this and use this lesson to dedicate themselves to Single Player games forever, that’s what made the company what they are.
Capcom is making a huge comeback and 2027 is going to be an spectacular year thanks to the return of the Blue Bomber with Mega Man Dual Override. Hopefully this new entry in the series will be so successful to the point we get a Mega Man X9 or perhaps even Mega Man Legends 3, who knows, a ton of dead franchises have been making a comeback lately from the hand of many developers. Maybe we can even be surprised with the revival of DarkStalkers, or even Dino Crisis.
