Stardew Valley turns 10 years and it is a big goal for one of the best selling indie games of all time. With 10 years in the belt, a new update that surprised the entire fandom behind the game has dropped, nobody expected that the addition of a way to date Clint would end up making such a big fuss, but considering the fame behind the character this was expected. Along with that, Sandy is also a new possible candidate for marrying, but she isn’t from the village itself which makes things quite weird. Everyone is talking about how Clint just made it, hopefully he was rewritten.
Stardew Valley drops bombshell update
Part of the goal for version 1.7 is to make things have more depth, without bloating the game in a way that feels like playing modern Minecraft, which is a very nice goal if you ask me. The update post is quite funny and it really has that energy of “Is anyone reading this?” and I can appreciate that after all this years ConcernedApe has been working so very hard to bring the best version of Stardew Valley to us. In fact, I might just start playing to see what’s new with this update while I wait for more news on Haunted Chocolatier.
While Stardew keeps growing bit by bit, Haunted Chocolatier seems to still be in development, but ConcernedApe wants to ensure it feels right and that it also feels different, its his passion project after all. We don’t know what that game might end up bringing to us, but whatever it is, and taking into account how long the development cycle is for it, it must be a huge game with tons of systems to explore.
