Brotato

Brotato is out in GOG, if you still didn’t buy it you should get your hands on it because it currently sits at a neat 20% discount on the same platform. You could also get a neat 10% discount pack if you buy it with its DLC in the Steam Store page, so its up to you to decide if you wanna get it on GOG, double dip, or just keep playing the Steam version. Its been some years since Brotato launched and it was genuinely a great success in the Vampire Survivors-like genre.

Brotato is on GOG

If you have been wanting to play another Vampire Survivors style game but you aren’t sure where to invest your money, Brotato is a safe bet that can provide hours upon hours of fun. There’s a ton of things to discovery and upgrades to find, along with many synergies that you will adore to stumble upon, most of these games are a sure way to get your dopamine levels going thanks to the big numbers you end up racking when mowing down enemies. So if you are looking for something with a different vibe but the same core concepts, just get this one.

The fact that it has released on GOG means that you can actually own it, you don’t have to deal with any troublesome DRM from Steam or any other company. GOG cares about preservation, but to ensure this goal can expand even further we need to actually care about preservation too. Many gamers don’t even know or remember many of the games that they played, and this causes some of those games to just disappear without any sort of documentation, this is a phenomenon that is happening recently thanks to the rise of live service. Gamers of this generation need to be more careful about remembering their history.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
