Aethus

Aethus is a new indie game for PC coming soon, and it has released a new trailer showcasing some gameplay along the release date. In reality, this isn’t really an indie game due to the developer having tons of experience in the field already, they worked at RockStar North, they worked at Build A Rocket Boy, their experience is extensive. Regardless, it is neat to see someone being free from the shackles of triple A, we need more people abandoning the usual game industry and going underground for more creative works, Aethus looks like one of those creative games.

Aethus is coming soon

Coming in March 6th, Aethus promises some interesting strategy gameplay made by a veteran of the industry. The them of the game is sci-fi, and you are stranded in an alien planet trying to build a base to live in, at the same time this game also has a narrative behind that you will unravel as you advance, so it isn’t just gameplay, which is a good thing. The coolest part of it all is the fact that this game will release complete, no early access, no strings attached, this is a pure game designed from the ground up.

In today’s gaming world this is something very unexpected, but the fact that the developer behind decided to take things into their hands and make it the good old way inspired trust in them. I’m really curious to see how Aethus ends up playing, and also seeing how the plot unravels as we survive in this seemingly hostile alien planet. For those wanting a new strategy game that releases fully complete, check this one out, and got out of your way to put it in your wishlist, the developer behind it will be thankful for making the game become more popular.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
