Genshin Impact Version 6.2 Confirms Playable Durin and Jahoda Alongside New Hexerei System

HoYoverse has officially announced the new playable characters, Durin and Jahoda, which will debut in Genshin Impact Version 6.2 on December 3, 2025. This exciting update will introduce two characters from the popular Nod-Krai cast, with character trailers now available to highlight their stories and gameplay. Durin, whose storyline has slowly developed since Version 1.2, is finally becoming playable after much anticipation. On the other hand, the 4-Star Jahoda, a member of the Curatorium of Secrets, is a pleasant surprise. She quickly gained a strong following after her introduction. This release marks a significant expansion of the playable roster and a refreshing change for older combat mechanics.

Durin is a versatile character who can take on two different combat roles. He can act as an on-field Vaporize and Melt driver or switch to an off-field support role for various Pyro elemental reactions, including Burning and Overload. Importantly, Durin plays a key role in the new Hexerei system set to launch in Version 6.2. This system aims to provide powerful combat buffs to select older units, such as Mona, Venti, and Klee, by pairing any two Hexerei characters together. Players must complete a new set of quests in this update to unlock the Hexerei Rite for all relevant characters, effectively revitalizing some of the game’s earliest additions.

The new 4-Star unit, Jahoda, joins the game as an Anemo Bow user and fills a specific, valuable role as a healer for teams using the Lunar Reaction. Her character trailer shows her as the only official member of the Curatorium of Secrets, often taking on tasks for the usually distant Nefer. In combat, Jahoda serves as a solid alternative to existing units like Nefer and Flins. Players who want to maximize her potential should focus on the Viridescent Venerer artifact set to boost her ATK% and Energy Recharge stats. Additionally, the main event for Version 6.2 will offer a free Energy Recharge bow, giving players an immediate and accessible weapon option for her setup.

The Event Banners for Version 6.2 will feature both Durin and Jahoda in the first half, along with a re-run of Venti. Thanks to the Hexerei buffs, Venti’s value has risen, making him one of the most effective Anemo hypercarries. To match his enhanced role, Venti will receive a new Signature Weapon, The Daybreak Chronicles, which will be available on the Weapon Banner when the update launches. While the main focus of Version 6.2 is on the new characters and system upgrades, the community views this update as a targeted patch, setting the stage for potentially larger content in the following Version 6.3.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
