Dispatch Season 2 is a reality, at least according to the CEO of AdHoc Studio who claims it wants to see it done as soon as possible. The original game that released a while ago was a massive success and it got more people interested in narrative focused titles. It even got to appear as a surprise nomination at the game awards despite the show being kinda messy with Clair Obscu Expedition 33 unfairly taking almost all prizes. Thankfully fans of Dispatch will keep eating good with a potential Season 2, but I believe its a bit too early to release it.
Dispatch Season 2 more than confirmed
Not only is it a reality, but it is also a priority, Critical Role will still be in development but it won’t impeded progress on Dispatch Season 2 at all. Seems like the CEO of AdHoc knows very well what games will sell well and it has put more faith into making this a whole IP instead of a one hit wonder. While some might oppose a sequel, the game is pretty open for one and it can lead to more interesting scenarios between a dysfunctional group of heroes and everything that happens in their work life.
Part of the success of the game is based on how many popular streamers have played it, but we shouldn’t deny the fact that lots of care have been put on the production of what essentially feels like a playable animated series. Fans want to see more of it and they also want to engage more with the world of Dispatch and its characters, so perhaps Season 2 will be primarily focused on something entirely new rather than what we already had. Perhaps we might get a proper sequel in 2026 if things go well, feels almost guaranteed at this point.
