Oldschool RuneScape adds the amazing Sailing Skill in 2025

Oldschool RuneScape

Oldschool RuneScape is going to get a new skill that feels like a no brainer to revitalize the game. Now we will be able to sail the seas and level up that skill by doing so, which is rather insane for a game that has more decades than some people reading this. This implies Jagex still has the original source code of the game after all these years and they are able to apply some interesting changes that truly change how many things work. This is the perfect opportunity to add more variety, since you can now do more than just hitting a tree to level up, you can actually enjoy exploring the game.

Oldschool RuneScape got bigger

Sailing is the next big thing in RuneScape, and it seems that people are already trying to compete against each other to see who can max the level of that skill first. Not only does this adds the ability to traverse the sea, but there’s a whole lot of things that you can do with this, you can discover new lands, you can also acquire new loot. The most important thing of it all is the fact that there’s also a ton of quests to explore with this new Oldschool RuneScape update, including the fact that we have new bosses and enemies.

This might be the thing that revitalizes Oldschool RuneScape, and it was needed for quite a while since the game was stagnating and not giving players the things they wanted. Perhaps it is the time to jump back at it again and become familiar with the classic game that has been accompanying us for decades, keep in mind you need to pay a subscription. You also need to keep in mind that you are paying that subscription to Jagex, who has taken quite a lot of time to actually please players.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
