Guild Wars Reforged

Guild Wars Reforged got an amazing trailer to announce its presence. The classic MMO is back with a new slew of features that modernize the experience, as the original PC title was considered quite outdated. Seems 2025 keeps being the year of revivals and remakes, instead of trying to push for completely new titles, at the very least we have indie studios doing their best when it comes to that, with games like Dispatch or even Hollow Knight Silksong. MMO’s reviving is rather unexpected, and this time around we won’t be bound by a subscription.

Guild Wars Reforged gets announced

In December 3rd, we will be able to buy this new game, we aren’t tied to any sort of subscription system anymore, and our ability to explore will only be tied to how much time we put into the game. There’s no rush to play a certain amount of hours, or anything of the sort, which is refreshing when games demand that we give our valuable time for doing dailies and other dark pattern activities that don’t matter. Honestly, it would be nice if the people behind Guild Wars Reforged gave us the ability to host our own servers as it is possible to do it without much issues during testing.

Nobody expected this revival, the majority of MMO focused Youtubers are excited about the news, it seems that a new era for older MMO’s is being kickstarted by Guild Wars Reforged. You can still play Guild Wars 2 without much issues, although some people believe its getting a bit old, we can only wonder what awaits in the future for a game like this. If there’s something certain, the UI will be modernized and things will be more accessible, to tie into the fact that we are living in 2025 and the older system was rather clunky to play around with.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
