Genshin Impact Leak Outlines Aggressive Map Expansion Schedule for Nod-Krai’s Second Half

A major content drought for Genshin Impact players might be coming to an end. A well-known community source, Full Stop Chan, has shared a detailed roadmap for upcoming map expansions in the Nod-Krai region. This information shows a shift to a more intense release schedule in 2026. This is a big change from 2025, which added fewer new areas compared to the previous two years of Sumeru, Fontaine, and Natlan. According to the leak, players can expect a series of significant additions starting in January. Version 6.4 will introduce Dornman Port, and Version 6.5 will quickly follow with the new region of Hyperborea.

The reported schedule suggests that the year will kick off with three consecutive map additions. Version 6.3 is set to launch the city of Piramida and Lake Amsvartnir, while the following updates will feature areas with potentially greater impact. Dornman Port has been mentioned in the game lore for several years, making its launch highly anticipated. Hyperborea is described as a unique area similar to the existing Enkanomiya zone. This implies it will offer a limited but significant space for storytelling and exploration, separate from the main world map.

Importantly, the emphasis on Dornman Port hints at a possible narrative shift back to Mondstadt, the original region of the game. Mondstadt has not had a map expansion since Dragonspine launched in Version 1.2. This idea is supported by datamined dialogue for the recurring Merchant, Liben, in the upcoming Version 6.2, where he reportedly talks about Dornman Port. Additionally, Version 6.2 will introduce a new gameplay feature, the Hexerei Rite, which provides powerful enhancements to characters from Mondstadt. This suggests an effort to refresh the combat viability of older five-star and four-star units ahead of expected character releases like Varka and Alice.

Finally, the leak mentions a highly uncertain zone called the Space of Asmoday, which has not been linked to any specific update. Given Asmoday’s lore importance as a missing member of the Four Shades, this zone likely ties into the climax of the Nod-Krai storyline. It may also signal the start of the next major regional chapter. If the leaked schedule is accurate, 2026 could be a historic year for world expansion, addressing the community’s concerns about the speed of new open-world content.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
