Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Deploys November 19 Patch

Treyarch and Raven Software released the latest among a continuing series of post-launch patches for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the November 19 update aimed at stability improvements and addressing a few pressing game issues across all modes. One of the issues addressed by the patch has been running since the game’s November 14 launch: Daily Challenges not resetting upon entering a new Prestige. While seemingly minor, it presented a crucial progression roadblock for engaged players, certainly one that had to be resolved. In other words, fixing it is part of this patch’s Global piece. Additionally, the update continues to improve various crash-and-stability issues as the team continues to work toward overall game optimizations.

In Multiplayer, this patch makes tremendous strides toward upholding competitive integrity. In particular, the developers have fixed multiple locations on five maps—Scar, Flagship, Colossus, Hijacked, and Toshin—where players were able to glitch outside intended exploitable areas of the designated play space. Verily, these out-of-bounds glitches often offered unwarranted advantages, and thus, this fix was pivotal for maintaining balance. Other than these map fixes, the patch addresses UI inconsistencies with certain Overclocks being listed in the wrong order and Operators erroneously marked as inactive in the menus. To the cooperative Campaign players, the patch fixes the case where a squad member would be dropped from a match if the rest of the team ex-filled without him or her, plus it fixed an issue with keycard pickup on the ‘Escalation’ mission.

Zombies mode essentially undergoes the majority of the changes, many of which also affect long-term progression. Most importantly, the update fixes a bug with the requirements for some Mastery Camo Challenges being set three times more than intended for cosmetic advancement of any devoted players. Another issue with no progress on the Mutilate Camo challenge has also been fixed. Other than those challenges, balance adjustments were performed in Dead Ops Arcade, where the Death Machine damage is moderately reduced and Ray Gun Damage has now been properly aligned to its rarity tier for a more consistent and predictable power curve.

This is the fourth major update since the launch of Black Ops 7 and establishes a solid foundation of support, looking ahead to the expected launch of the first full season of the game in December. In fixing high-progression bugs and an important exploit, Treyarch and Raven Software are methodically stabilizing the title and laying the groundwork for future content. The speed and assertiveness of these fixes reflect a strong desire for the long-term viability of the game across all core modes.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
