Ys vs Trails in the Sky Alternative Saga

Ys vs Trails in the Sky Alternative Saga can be bought on GOG if you are a PC gamer, and this is the best thing you can choose to do because by buying your games on GOG you can own them for real. GOG is the only online store for digital games that respects your right to own things, and they also make some very good discounts by keeping in mind that prices in the industry have become very bloated lately. Back in the early days of digital downloads, there was promises by every company that digital downloads would be cheaper than physical games, since digital distribution was cheaper in resources too.

Ys vs Trails in the Sky Alternative Saga is amazing

Ys vs Trails in the Sky Alternative Saga might shape up to be an instant classic from the popular niche company Nihon Falcom, for most people who haven’t played the Ys series and are reading this, I highly recommend you to at least try out Ys 1&2, they usually get discounted by a lot during GOG sales. The original game was stuck in Japan for a very long time, and we can finally have some action going in a classic fighter that fans over there got to enjoy but we couldn’t enjoy properly. Japan only games are the bane of many gamers, but tons of hidden gems like this one exist.

This game is atypical, as it clearly feels like some sort of parody to Power Stone, at least when you ask me this is how things go for me. This chaotic fighting game is one to behold, so if you are interested I would recommend you to buy it on GOG to support the developers behind these amazing franchises, Nihon Falcom is quite the important company when it comes to classic JRPGs that defined the genre.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
